About Bella Vista

Residents and visitors of Bella Vista are offered a staggering roster of dining options, attractions, and local entertainment and events just off their doorsteps. Located in South Philadelphia, Bella Vista’s best-known feature is the 9th Street Italian Market, the oldest operational “open-air” market of its kind in the U.S. The neighborhood is also home to a number of beautiful parks including the Cianfranni Park, Bardascina Park and the Palumbo Recreational Center. Each of which is supported through the volunteer efforts of the community’s Friends of Parks group, whose diligent efforts add beauty and serenity to the entire neighborhood. The parks often host public events such as concert series, yoga, and outdoor movies, The residents of Bella Vista often wake up to the music of church bells and the delightful aromas of historic Sarcone’s Italian Bakery. Many of the residences located in this tucked-away neighborhood offer walkability to the city’s finest conveniences while allowing residents to enjoy the comfort and privacy of a quaint, friendly neighborhood.
